TLC glass plates RP-18 W UV254, C18-modified silica layer, 20×20 cm, preparative

TLC glass plates and aluminum sheets coated with a partial octadecyl (C18, ODS) modification, wettable with water. Based on silica gel 60. Particle size of analytical plates is 2–10 µm. For preparative purposes (PLC) a layer thickness of 1 mm is available on glass plates and the particle size is 5–17 µm. Indicator – acid-resistant product with a pale blue fluorescence for short-wave UV (254 nm). UV-absorbing substances apppear as dark-blue to black spots on a light-blue background. Normal phase or reversed phase separation modes with eluents from anhydrous solvents to mixtures with high concentrations of water. The relative polarity of the eluent determines the polarity of the layer. RP-18 W is available on glass plates and ALUGRAM aluminum sheets in different sizes. Order of polarity – silica > DIOL > NH2 > CN > RP-2 > C18-50 > RP-18 W > C18-100
